Take a Guess

For all of you who missed seeing me pregnant this is the best I could do for a photo. With Christopher making his debut to the world early I didn't get a good preggo shot. This was me less than 24 hours before Emily was born.

Look at my (almost) modest babies. Can you guess which is which? We'll call the left side (or top photo) baby A and the right side (or bottom photo) baby B. See how you do all the way down. On one set of pictures there is a third photo and we'll call that one baby C.

The second set of newborn pictures.

This one should be easy.

Who's who?

Sleeping time is GREAT!

Last chance, which baby is Christopher, which baby is Emily?

Siblings

What do you think? Do they look alike?

Here is my first video attempt(s) on the blog. Emily was being really cute with CJ on the blanket. CJ weighs 11.5 lbs. He's put on more than 3 pounds in 5 weeks. Not bad.

Aren't Grandparents Great

Here are some pictures of the kids with their grandparents. Now everyone told me, "Going from one kid to two is quite the transition." I say not so, when you live with four other adults. We live with my parents and two of my brothers. Someone is always available to play with Emily or to burp CJ. Also Chris's parents live only
abut 25 minutes away and they come and see us as much as they can. It's great. If you can't live with grandparents I recommend at least living close to them. I love watching Emily
interact with her grandparents on both sides. She really knows each one of them and (I think) has a special relationship with all of them. I can't wait for CJ to get to know each of his grandparents. I really consider it a blessing to be so close to all of them.

New Pics

Here are some more photos.

Oh to have an older sister. I always said I wouldn't dress my boy in pink. Well he's not technically dressed in pink, more like draped in pink.

Emily loves Christopher. She loves to hold him. She also enjoys watching us give him a bath. She's quick to get his pacifier when he cries. And she cannot wait until he gets to sleep in his crib in her room.

Here's lookin' at you kid.

Easter

On Saturday our ward had an Egg hunt at the church. Here's a picture of Chris and Christopher and Emily. It was really fun, they had crafts and activities and food.

We had a nice Easter Sunday. It was my first time back to church. We stayed for the first two hours. Here's my attempt at a "family Easter photo". The camera was in the car and got all foggy when we took it inside. But aren't my boys hot stuff in their church outfits?

We decided to wait until after church for Easter baskets. Emily wasted no time in finding hers. Last year she discovered that if she shook the eggs she could figure out what was in each one. She prefers chocolate to jelly beans. So if she hears a "thunk" instead of a "rattle" she knows it's good stuff. We also hid a basket for CJ, too bad someone has to eat all his candy for him. We had a nice ham dinner cooked by my brother and then we went to my sister's house for the big Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all had a blast. It was a little chilly but we took CJ out to get in on the action. And of course Grandma had her money egg hunt. She puts money in the eggs and hides them. Mostly it's pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. This year there were also a few Chuck E Cheese tokens. She also hides paper money. There were two "golden" eggs this year each containing $20. I found one and was the big winner. Happy Easter.

Baby Brother

He's here. Christopher James Weber entered the world on Monday, March 3rd at 6:01 pm. He weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz and was 21 inches long. Not bad for 2 1/2 weeks early. Emily is so excited to have her baby brother here. She is a good helper, bringing me diapers or blankets or anything else I need. Both nights at the hospital she did not want to leave us there. She loves to hold her baby brother and thinks it is hilarious when he winks at her. Christopher (or sometimes we call him CJ) is a good little eater. He has slightly darker hair than Emily did, and we think he looks just like she did when she was born.
I miss all my bunk-o friends and would like to request that someone please get a travel bunk-o for me on Tuesday. Who knows now that I've had my baby maybe I'll surprise you all and show up.
And now what you've all been waiting for.........pictures!

The Circus

We went to the Cole Brother's Circus on September 8th. It was a two ring circus with many different acts. We went with lots of family and had tons of fun. Chris's mom came with us, she bought us funnel cake and snow cones (those helped offset the heat in the tent). We also went with three of my siblings and their families. The kids all had a great time. Emily loved the elephants. My nephew Thomas loved the motorcycle and tractor. Emily continues to ask to go to the circus.

Camping!

We have already begun to enjoy ourselves here in Virginia...especially spending time with family. On the 9th, 10th and 11th we went camping at Lake Fairfax which is only about fifteen minutes away. While it was not in the mountains like we are used to, it was quite enjoyable for all of us. We went with Liz's sister and her family. On Thursday night Chris made the best foil dinners ever! (garlic and herb chicken with carrots and onions, and french onion roasted potatoes). He made breakfast the next day as well, bacon and pancakes. Oh yeah, he did this all over a wood fire! On Friday we went to a small water park at Lake Fairfax with the kids. While the kids were sleeping Chris and Jared went "fishing" in the lake and its tributaries. Mimi (Liz's sister) and Jared (Mimi's husband) made dinner that night and breakfast the following morning. In all it was a great trip, we hope to have some pictures up soon so you all can see what a good time we had.

We Moved!

As many of you know, we recently moved to the greater Washington D.C. Metro area. The move itself was quite the experience from the start. We first decided to move in with Liz's parents during a visit to the D.C. area just two weeks before our lease ended (don't try this at home) and didn't really begin packing until the final week...once again not the best plan. Thanks to some good friends though, we were able to get everything "packed"..."honey, do you know where my clothes are?" The 650 mile drive out to Virginia was uneventful, except for the fact that our departure was delayed by a malfunctioning headlamp switch on the moving van; we were unable to leave until after 11:00 p.m. Fortunately we made a stop at Super 8 just past Columbus, Ohio. Chris was lucky enough to drive the moving van with one of our cars in tow, while Liz drove our other vehicle with Emily in the back seat...don't know which would be worse. Fortunately for Chris, the roads from Indiana to Virginia are very hilly so he got to experience the thrill of breaking the 30mph mark going up some of the hills...and Liz didn't slow a bit. We all made it safely though, and got the truck unloaded without too much of a hassle (or at least Chris got it unloaded) and most of the boxes into our newly-built shed. We are now slowly but surely unpacking the boxes that need to be inside.
We would like to thank all those who helped us make it here.
