We Moved!

As many of you know, we recently moved to the greater Washington D.C. Metro area. The move itself was quite the experience from the start. We first decided to move in with Liz's parents during a visit to the D.C. area just two weeks before our lease ended (don't try this at home) and didn't really begin packing until the final week...once again not the best plan. Thanks to some good friends though, we were able to get everything "packed"..."honey, do you know where my clothes are?" The 650 mile drive out to Virginia was uneventful, except for the fact that our departure was delayed by a malfunctioning headlamp switch on the moving van; we were unable to leave until after 11:00 p.m. Fortunately we made a stop at Super 8 just past Columbus, Ohio. Chris was lucky enough to drive the moving van with one of our cars in tow, while Liz drove our other vehicle with Emily in the back seat...don't know which would be worse. Fortunately for Chris, the roads from Indiana to Virginia are very hilly so he got to experience the thrill of breaking the 30mph mark going up some of the hills...and Liz didn't slow a bit. We all made it safely though, and got the truck unloaded without too much of a hassle (or at least Chris got it unloaded) and most of the boxes into our newly-built shed. We are now slowly but surely unpacking the boxes that need to be inside.
We would like to thank all those who helped us make it here.

Yay! So glad to see you blogging. And glad that the move was fairly uneventful. Hope life calms down for you and takes on a bit of normalcy now!
