Frederick County Fair

The Ride

Angela, Thomas, and I took 10 kids in my folks big white van.
Von, Kandi, and my parents got to ride childless over to Frederick. Some of the loudest 25 minutes of my life. The main draw for us all to go was $50 a car load. Well we got our money's worth. Unlimited rides for kids and adults alike. I think I should clarify, the oldest of the 10 kids is 6, she got to ride in the backwards facing seat.
The Ferris Wheel
Here are some pictures from the Ferris Wheel. CJ rode it twice. His first fair.

Rides

Here are some of the girls and Uncle Von on a ride. It's the type of ride where the outside rider gets squished. Poor Belle, but she really was a trooper. Emma and Olivia tried really hard not to squish her. And here are the girls on a moon bounce (or bounce house) which had a slide.

Food at the Fair

Grandma bought a pizza and some nachos. A big hit.
All in all I had a great time. I wouldn't mind going again next year. I didn't get to ride nearly enough rides. We also took some of the kids to see the pigs. Thomas and Emily have watched Charlotte's Web a few times recently. So we saw "Wilbur". Very cute.

I was off by a week
He is CRAWLING!!! He "finally" figured it out. He has been moving himself forward for a while but he wasn't aware that he was the moving force. That all changed Sunday night. 6 1/2 months. Yikes!

Summer Camp Fun
Here are some pictures of Thomas and Emily. They went to a summer camp in July. The theme was "Safari". They had fun looking for animals outside with their teachers, coloring pictures of animals, making masks, and all kinds of other crafts. The last day they got their faces painted. Here you go. They are giraffes.

Roomba
Maren, your pizza cutter might have met it's match. Favorite new "appliance"...
The Roomba. It entertains my boy for, get this, 45 minutes at a time. Maybe we'll upgrade to the super-plus battery for extended time. My new favorite babysitter. CJ has mastered sitting, and can now get himself upright no matter how he starts out. Check out this fun video and see for yourself. Who knows, I might be crediting/blaming the Roomba when CJ starts crawling.

More Fun at the Zoo
It was a pink and green day at the zoo. Angela and I went to the zoo in late August and had a great time. I'd like to go again. We did not purposely color coordinate the girls outfits, however it did make it very easy to identify our children. William refused to ride in the stroller and instead insisted on pushing it the entire time we were at the zoo. We had a picnic lunch and saw a few animals. Great fun sister.
