I'm back

Alright, so October was a slow/non blogging month. I see that my sister Mimi has tagged me in an effort for me to keep blogging. Now that November is here, I say "bring it on". We have a good-spirited (sister)rivalry.
Here's her tag...8 Things

8 TV shows I love watching
1. The Office
2. The Biggest Loser
3. Chuck
Is it sad that I only get to watch three shows a week. And really I only get to watch half of The Biggest Loser since I have started playing basketball again. But here are the rest of the ones I wish I could watch.
4. Survivorman
5. Deadliest Catch
6. 24 only in small doses. I tried to watch all the seasons when we borrowed them from Joe and Heather but...when all I was dreaming about was 24 I decided I needed to slow it down a bit. I can handle one hour a week. 2 hours a day was too much.
7. Wheel of Fortune, this should be up at the top since I get to watch it, but I don't know if it's actually a favorite or not.
8. Oh, yes, number 8 Scrubs.

8 Favorite Restaurants
Maybe I should change this to 8 places where I can eat. A *star designates a favorite.
1. *Nizam's (an awesome Turkish restaurant in Vienna, VA)
2. Ruby Tuesday
3. Chuck E Cheese
4. McDonalds
5. Wok n Roll
6. Chick-Fil-A
Can't eat at 7 or 8 but can't wait until I can.
7. Olive Garden
8. *Maggianos

8 Things Happening This Weekend
1. Church and a lesson for the 6 year olds. I haven't had to prepare one in about a month because of the program.
2. L's birthday is on Tuesday so we'll count it as a LONG weekend.
3. Election day on Tuesday, please vote.
4. Sleepover in Lovettsville on Monday night and possibly Sunday night.
5. 40% chance of swimming at the rec center.
Yesterday...
6. Halloween at Toys 'R Us and then Great Falls and then some houses.
7. Chuck E Cheese, you know me I can't get enough of it.
8. We bought CJ a new car seat since he weighs too much and is to long for the infant carrier.

8 Things I look forward to
1. Chris coming home from work. It's a highlight everyday.
2. Lately, CJ's naps. He has been extra cranky lately (teething I'm sure) and he wants me to hold him, standing up of course, all day.
3. Mimi coming to visit which also means a visit from "L".
4. Eating normal food again one day.
5. Our new house.
6. Playing SIMS 2 it's rare but fun to look forward to.
7. 8 o'clock...it's Emily's new bedtime. She is not napping anymore and so early to bed.
8. 10 o'clock, my bedtime.

8 things I love about this fall
1. The swingset. Emily, CJ, and Thomas can all be entertained for hours by that thing. It's even better when Emily or Thomas pushes CJ.
2. FIRES!!! I love the firepit. And since I can eat some hot dogs and marshmallows I love cooking/roasting over the fire.
3. Emily's ballet class. Seriously she LOVES it. It's her first ballet class and she can't get enough of it. She'll ask, "is it Wednesday" everyday.
4. The changing leaves of every Virginia fall.
5. Taking CJ outside and putting him down. He tries to eat every leaf.
6. My family. And my extended family. Being so close to so much family on both sides is great.
7. Staying home with my kids. I was just thinking about when Emily was CJ's age. I was still a manager at Ruby Tuesday closing the restaurant most nights. I am so grateful that I get to be home now.
8. No school. I know most people look forward to having their kids in school. But I am loving this fall off. Emily gets to do Ballet and Gymnastics right now because we "save" $160 a month (that was the cheapest preschool I could find and it's only 6 hours a week). Who knows what fun things she'll get to do in the spring. I am also loving that we don't have to rush to be anywhere before 10 am.

8 Things on My Wish List
1. A GPS
2. The Office Season 4
3. Plane tickets to Utah and or California
4. Our house
I'm sure there's more I'll add them later

Great tag. I enjoyed reading your favorite things about this fall. I wish I could see CJ eating a leaf...a possible post in the future? Bring it on. Oh, my friend said something about november being national blog month. In honor of that she is blogging everyday in november. Should we give it a try? I'm only in if you are, friendly competition!
