Tragedy

Pink Bunny is GONE!!!
Oh the tragedy. She's had that bunny, I believe, since the day she was born. She got really attached to it once we moved to Indiana, and the attachment (if you can believe it) grew again upon moving to VA. She sleeps with it, sniffs it, and LOVES the tag on it. And now...it's gone, gone, gone.
We lost it one day while my sister was here. July 23 to be exact. We slept up at my sister's house in Lovettsville. I loaded the kids up, I assumed Emily had her bunny, and we left. We got home and it was a few hours later that Emily asked for her bunny. We looked and looked, I called my sister who looked and looked. No dice. No bunny. The first few days were a little rough. She made-do with brother's bear or a replacement bunny. She doesn't ask for it anymore. Her cousin, Thomas, asked her "Where is your pink bunny" (when I asked her the day before to tell Grandpa what a big girl she was because she didn't need her bunny she started crying for it). Her reply was "I don't need it anymore, I can just breathe like this". She proceeded to take a deep breath. I guess she's over it now.

"I can just breathe like this.." So classic, so sweet, so brave!
