Ice Skating

Chris took Emily ice skating a couple of weeks ago. She did very well and seemed to enjoy it. After watching them, I decided I do not have the patience required to "teach" someone to ice skate. When I'm on the ice I want to go faster than a caterpillar. Chris was a good sport and got to go around a few times by himself. I'll add a picture of Mimi (and kids) since her camera, computer, internet, etc are all mia. We ended the evening by enjoying some hot cocoa and french fries.

We Moved!

We love our new house. Currently, we are internet-less most of the time. I do continue to check your blogs from my phone and will try to update soon!

Soccer

A little family pre-game warm-up session. CJ loves soccer. During Emily's games he sits on the sidelines and yells "Go Deen Durdles" translation...Go Green Turtles.
Here are two pictures of her first game. This league cracks me up. I'm sure it's better for the kids and they have more fun, but some of the "rules" are a little strange to me. Whenever the ball goes out of bounds the coaches throw a new ball onto the field in any location they want to. The girls play 3v3 and they just run around like crazy. It is seriously breakaway after breakaway. No passing or learning areas of the field at this age. Emily does seem to have a great time and last week she scored two goals and received her end of the season trophy.

Church

If only every Sunday were like this...

Church hadn't started yet and I thought it was too cute to pass up the photo-op. We actually spent quite a bit of sacrament in the nursery.

The Beach

My parents took some of the grandkids down to Virginia Beach in September. I decided to drive down with my two and join them. The kids had a great time playing in the surf and digging holes.

We found several horseshoe crabs. We threw them back in the water but they kept washing ashore.





We saw several dolphins in the water too. The kids loved the sand!







Emily begins the hole. It was a washing well, a jumping pit, a trap, and a whole lot of fun.

McLean Day

The kids had such a fun time at McLean Day. They rode the train, merry-go-round, and a ride like the teacups. They were both troopers and had great attitudes. In fact they wanted to stay longer, but I was ready to get home. CJ loved the bus ride to and from. Here are some photos.
